Everyone fears something and fear isn't really a bad thing. It kind of shows you that you are human.
You feel something. You understand something. You understand whether to do it or not.
So fear isn't a bad thing. Where fear can be a bad thing.
Let me go back a bit. You probably say, I wish this was simple. I you've probably heard it hundreds.
I've heard it millions of times when I'm working with my clients…
I wish this was simple.
I wish this website was simpler.
I wish going to the government building was simple.
Everyone loves simplicity, but they fear simplicity. And the thing is, I don't think they understand simplicity enough to fear it.
Now, in the beginning, I said it's good and healthy to fear. But when it comes to things that you understand are complicated and want to simplify them, there's no reason to fear them.
The fear, I think, comes out of not knowing what that part of simplicity is.
What simplicity means when it comes down to your tech. I hear a lot of people say, you know, I really want to make this simple, but I but I'll just carry on doing what I'm doing because I've been doing it for years.
Now, that fear that you have, that that person has, is not a healthy fear because they're wasting their time with the way that they're actually working.
So fear is healthy. It makes you understand certain things.
But fear of simplicity or fear of trying to simplify what you are doing is not healthy because you're you're wasting precious time and effort into what you're trying to do because you you know things can be simpler.
I'm doing this on my computer.
I wish it was simpler.
You've said it millions of times. I'm sure you have because I've heard it millions of times.
Fearing simplicity is not quite is not healthy when it comes down to certain things with your technology because you know that you want it simpler.
Anyway, that's the video.
Hopefully that makes sense to you. Makes sense to me.
