Letting go of things is one of my biggest vices. I’m not a hoarder, but it takes me time to get rid of stuff as I get attached to them.

Nostalgia is a MOFO. Let's try not to swear. It really is. I suffer from nostalgia or nostalgic things and I constantly think about the things I have.
So I find letting go of things hard. I just do. I'm not a hoarder, but because I do try to get rid of stuff, but I'm very emotional to the things that I have and use and so on.
Today was the day I switched off or cancelled my hosting with my last host, which was Webflow and it felt really weird. It felt like cutting off a finger in a way.
It's just I know it sounds really silly, but because of that nostalgic feeling I get for the things that I'm attached to, I have that kind of feeling.
So I've been with Webflow for five years, but I got to a stage probably about a year ago where I realised that it wasn't scaling the way I wanted to scale.
It wasn't as simple as it used to be. Now. I will still recommend Webflow because it's great for specific projects.
But for what I was doing, it was a bit bloated and it wasn't necessary.
Now the new host, which is ghost, I'm really happy with.
I've used it for about a week and a half, but I've known about it for about a year and a half, two years.
But I never thought about moving over because there were some features that weren't quite right for me.
But I moved and the fact that I didn't want to move to anything else was the fact that I was really happy with Webflow, even though it was annoying.
Now coming to you and how you use your tools and the software and SAS companies, whatever that you use, you've got to stop feeling nostalgic about that tool because just because you're using it doesn't necessarily mean it's the best thing for you at that moment.
As I said, I would still recommend Webflow and I would still recommend specific tools, even though I'm not using them, but they're just not right for me.
And if the tool isn't right for you and you're constantly using it, you're probably missing out on lots of lots of lots of stuff.
I mean, the move to ghost, I gained lots of new features, even though they're not.
That's not the reason I moved over. The reason I moved over was because I wanted to make life easier for myself and I effectively got rid of three tools with Webflow and other things moved over to ghost.
And now I have one tool, so it just makes my life easier and I have more time to do whatever I want to do.
So again, going back to you, talking about me again, going back to you and your tools, you've got to figure out, is this tool wasting my time?
That's effectively the question. Is it wasting my time? Could I make my workflow, the things that I'm doing much quicker?
Are there key keyboard shortcuts? Are there other tools that can actually complement like text expander, for instance?
You're adding another tool, but you're with text expander. I've saved hours per year and it's just worth its weight in gold, as it were.
So have a look through your tool set and see what you can get rid of, what you can add and things you can, you know, optimise anyway.
Keep it simple. Have a great day and I'll see you in the next one.
And don't forget to comment below because there is a new commenting system and I'd like to get some conversations going.
That would be awesome. Have a great day.
Ciao.
