Automation is great, but I personally don’t use any automation within my workflow. I prefer to do things manually than lose the human touch with my business.

Progress is a good thing.
00:00 --> 00:02

We make the car because horses were slower and we could carry more people and go further distances.
00:02 --> 00:08

So having that kind of automation to create automation is also a good thing
00:08 --> 00:15

because we can do a lot more things without having to actually do them.
00:15 --> 00:20

We set them up, we create automations and they're great.
00:20 --> 00:24

There's one element that I personally don't like about automation is the human factor of automation.
00:24 --> 00:31

For instance, if you're posting stuff on social media
00:31 --> 00:37

and you've created a calendar of a bunch of posts and you've post dated them so they come out automatically.
00:37 --> 00:47

Well great, that's actually saved you a lot of time.
00:47 --> 00:50

But the human factor is gone because you don't know what you've posted.
00:50 --> 00:54

So when you get a reply, the feeling of that original post, the original thought wasn't there.
00:54 --> 01:04

So when you reply, it isn't really you.
01:04 --> 01:07

You're just reacting to a reaction of your reaction, which is the automated post.
01:07 --> 01:13

So automation can be good in saving you time, but the human factor is actually gone.
01:13 --> 01:20

And when it comes to automation, when it in your workflow, it's great because it does save you time.
01:20 --> 01:27

There's a lot of things that you can automate. Fantastic.
01:27 --> 01:31

I don't automate anything because I like to do things manually.
01:31 --> 01:37

I was going to talk about electric windows and manual windows.
01:37 --> 01:41

I've actually got electric windows in this car, so it wouldn't make sense.
01:41 --> 01:45

But the fact that I don't use automation doesn't mean that I don't get work done.
01:45 --> 01:52

I actually do. I have a system in my head so I can copy paste things that I want to.
01:52 --> 02:00

What fails for me with automation within my workflow is if there is a break,
02:00 --> 02:06

if there's a problem with the automation, you have to go back and figure out,
02:06 --> 02:10

depending on how big the automation is, you have to figure out what steps was it that broke.
02:10 --> 02:16

Things happen with dates that you don't understand why it happened with dates when you created them.
02:16 --> 02:22

But when it comes to working, your team doesn't understand what's going on with the dates.
02:22 --> 02:28

It's just the it's a bit of a mess when it comes to automation.
02:28 --> 02:31

You've got to be on top of it all the time.
02:31 --> 02:34

There are people out there that are automation experts and that's what they do.
02:34 --> 02:38

But you have to be on top of it. I personally don't like automation.
02:38 --> 02:43

I like to do everything manually. Mind you, I don't work with thousands of clients.
02:43 --> 02:49

So if you've got a sales team with a pipe drive, you need automation.
02:49 --> 02:54

If you've got hundreds of team team members within different departments, you may need automation.
02:54 --> 03:02

Although even that I don't think you do again, depending on what you're doing.
03:02 --> 03:06

But the I don't like automation. I think the human factor is gone when you use automation.
03:06 --> 03:15

And to be honest, most of the stuff that you think that you're saving time on when it comes to creating the automation,
03:15 --> 03:21

the upkeep of the automation, the oh shit, this has gone wrong.
03:21 --> 03:25

What should we do of the automation? It's probably.
03:25 --> 03:31

You might save a bit of time, but it's not as much as I don't believe it's as much as that you think it is.
03:31 --> 03:39

So, yeah, lose the automation I have and it works.
03:39 --> 03:42

Everything's handy and dandy and you don't really need a ton of automation to get what you need doing.
03:42 --> 03:51

Bring the human side of you back into your business rather than automate everything,
03:51 --> 03:55

automating everything where you lose touch with your clients. That's how I feel anyway.
03:55 --> 04:02

If you need any help with not creating automation because I know how to do it, let me know.
04:02 --> 04:08

I'll see you next time. Ciao.
04:08 --> 04:10

Ciao.
04:10 --> 04:10
