So Apple had their WWDC conference where they come up with new software, the OS's
00:00 --> 00:07

and so on. And one thing that struck me is how bad it was. Now I know I complain
00:07 --> 00:18

a lot but I complained for the sake of the community. I don't complain because
00:18 --> 00:23

I just like to complain. But their UI that they're changing, there's like a
00:23 --> 00:30

dark mode. It just makes no sense. It actually looks silly. It looks so childish.
00:30 --> 00:37

It looks like the jailbroken iPhones of yesteryear. Remember when you used to,
00:37 --> 00:42

well not a lot of people know, but you used to be able to download a jailbreak
00:42 --> 00:47

for your phone where you could install different apps and customize it.
00:47 --> 00:51

It actually looks like a bad version of that. Now it's not all doom and gloom
00:51 --> 00:55

because they did have some really good stuff. Some stuff for the iPad for
00:55 --> 01:01

instance, like the calculator on the iPad at last. But you could write and do lots
01:01 --> 01:07

of things with. There's lots of UI tweaks. There's this Apple intelligence which...
01:07 --> 01:14

I'm not a fan of AI. I like to do things myself. We're kind of forced into AI
01:14 --> 01:21

doing certain things for us. If you can turn it off though that will definitely
01:21 --> 01:27

be something I'll be doing. But it really depends on what's happening on the
01:27 --> 01:33

back end because I don't want everyone touching my information.
01:33 --> 01:38

Adobe caused havoc late last week when they said that everything that you do
01:38 --> 01:47

with an Adobe product they will keep and they can use and they own. It's just
01:47 --> 01:51

crazy. I think they've backpedaled it. But the problem with AI is that you don't
01:51 --> 01:56

know who's got your information, who's actually using your information. Someone
01:56 --> 02:02

made a video saying if something's in my closet, it's in my filing cabinet, you
02:02 --> 02:07

the software company shouldn't have any reason to go anywhere near it. The problem
02:07 --> 02:13

with AI is software and tech companies that use AI is that you don't know where
02:13 --> 02:20

that software is, that information is going. So it'll be interesting to
02:20 --> 02:26

see what's actually happening in the back end of this Apple intelligence
02:26 --> 02:30

thing. Let me know what you think of the conference if you watched it.
02:30 --> 02:37

It was lackluster. They're all starting to look stale now. Anyway,
02:37 --> 02:43

that's my take of it. I'm gonna go and walk with Woof!. Can you see him? Yeah he's
02:43 --> 02:49

there. And I'll see you tomorrow. Ciao. Bye.
02:49 --> 02:54
