I came to Kia with a failed internal drive that was deemed a lost cause by everyone else. Of course, I hadn't backed up my computer and I had very important documents on the computer that I had not stored anywhere else or even e-mailed to myself.
He didn't make any false promises when he took it from me, but, sure enough, 4 days later I came to find he had retrieved the documents in question.
